Son of Robert William and Theresa Margaret Anderson, of Liverpool; husband of Elsa Margaret Anderson, of Crawley, Winchester, Hampshire. His wife and his son Anthony Robert perished with him. Assigned to HMS Goshawk, the FAA base at RNAS Piarco, lost on passage to Trinidad.
