Personal information
Travelled as timber trader Frank Pryce, of Llangollen, North Wales. Franz Preiss was a Sudeten German social democrat who fled to the UK before the war and was recruited by the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in January 1941. It was planned to send him together with Theodor Schubauer to Austria via Cairo through Greece and Yugoslavia, but both were lost on passage aboard Jonathan Holt from Liverpool to Takoradi.
