Personal information
Husband of M.C. Barnard, of Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire. He was one of the twelve survivors from Coimbra who survived the sinking in a swamped lifeboat, but died of exposure and shock before the last two men were rescued by USS Rowan about 12 hours after the sinking.
