Personal information
Son of William James and Elizabeth Burton, of Belfast, Northern Ireland. James Todd Burton was severely injured during the attack on Pedernales, lowered into a lifeboat by other survivors and shortly afterwards landed at the coast of Aruba. He died of burns in a hospital later that day and was buried the next day in Oranjestad, Aruba.
