Personal information
Christopher John Panudy survived the sinking of Gogovale and was picked up by HMS Vanoc. He was given a sailor’s hatband of the destroyer as a souvenir of the rescue. Christopher was to marry on 11th September 1940 and had purchased various items for the marriage in Montreal, but lost everything in the sinking.
