Son of Asa Alonzo and Lolah Belle Skinner, of Port Arthur, TX. Lonnie Carr Skinner was one of the 21 survivors from Esso Nashville who were rescued by USCGC Tallapoosa. He later served in the US Army from 23 June 1944 to 21 March 1946.
