Personal information
Husband of Thelma Carmen Heyme, of Easton PA. Willy Heyme was born in Germany and joined the Imperial German Navy in World War One. He volunteered for service on U-boats after the Battle of Jutland in 1916 and fought the rest of the war as officer on a U-boat. After the armistice he immigrated to the US, became a naturalized citizen and officer in the Merchant Marine.
