Personal information
William Eldon Warwick was serving in Cunard Line when he was called up into the RNR and joined HMS Andania on 25 Oct, 1939. He was the mess treasurer and able to save the mess funds before the ship sank, returning it to the other survivors. After the war he returned to Cunard, became Commodore of the Fleet and was the first Captain of the Queen Elizabeth 2.
