Personal information
James Arthur Clark jumped overboard after Empire Mahseer was torpedoed and tread water for hours waiting for a boat to maybe pick him up. He was able to attract attention in the dark with blowing his whistle and was eventually picked up. James kept this whistle all these years as he credits it for having saved his life.
