Son of Mrs. Agnes Richards, of Cardiff. Francis Joseph Richards was one of nine survivors from Luimneach who landed in France and were interned by the Vichy French authorities. He was later handed over as prisoner to the Germans and taken to the POW camp Marlag und Milag Nord (POW No. 90330).
