Personal information
Bertie Brown served as a fuse setter in the X turret of HMS Naiad and was on board when she was sunk in March 1942. He was in the water for some hours clinging to a cargo net, holding up and onto a man for some time, but was unable to keep him afloat due to exhaustion to be rescued.
