Personal information
Husband of Margaret Elenore Riatt, of Newton, NJ. Frank Riatt was injured during the sinking of Chatham. After convalescence he became an Aviation Radioman and died when his TBF Avenger aircraft crashed on take-off from the light carrier USS Belleau Wood east of Baker Island in the Pacific Ocean on 2 September 1943.
