Personal information
Ivy Joseph Prejean served in the US Navy from 16 July 1942 to 4 October 1945. He was one of the 16 occupants in the lifeboat that made landfall on Madagascar after the sinking of Sebastian Cermeno and was of great assistance to the other survivors on their arduous path from the beach where they landed to Tananarive because he spoke French fluently.
