William L. Pinder was one of the twelve survivors from Coimbra who survived the sinking in a swamped lifeboat, but only the first radio officer and he were still alive when USS Rowan located them about 12 hours later. He was hospitalized for 7 weeks after being landed at Argentia, Newfoundland on 23 January 1942.Do you have additional information on this person?
