Notes on event

At 10.19 hours on 29 July 1942 the unescorted Prescodoc (Master John Charles Prowse) was hit ahead of amidships by one torpedo from U-160 and sank rapidly by the bow northwest of Georgetown, British Guiana. The master and 15 crew members were lost. Five crew members were picked up by Predsednik Kopajtic and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad.
