Notes on event

At 01.43 hours on 1 Feb 1940 the Fram, lying at anchor, was hit by one G7e torpedo from U-13 and sank off Rosehearty Buoy in Aberdour Bay, Scotland. The survivors were picked up by HMS Khartoum (F 45) (Cdr D.T. Dowler, RN) and the British armed trawler HMS Viking Deeps.
