| Notes on event | At 11.37 hours on 3 Nov 1942, U-160 attacked convoy TAG-18 for the third time west of Grenada and sank the Gypsum Empress and Leda. The master, 31 crew members, four gunners and four signalmen from the Gypsum Empress (Master John Smyth Rodgers) were picked up by the Spanish steam tanker Gobeo and landed at Trinidad on 3 November. | ||
