The master, 49 crew members, one gunner and eight Army personnel from the Empire Webster (Master Alexander Roderick Duncan) were picked up by HMCS Camrose (K 154) (T/Lt L.R. Pavillard, RCNVR) and landed at Algiers. Three crew members and one gunner were lost.
