|Notes on event|
At 06.02 hours on 29 November 1943, U-20 fired a spread of two torpedoes at a convoy consisting of a tanker escorted by one torpedo boat and four patrol boats about 50 miles southwest of Gogra. No detonation was heard, so Grafen assumed that they had missed. In fact, one torpedo hit the Peredovik but was a dud and only made a small hole into the hull.
