At 07.05 hours on 25 Aug 1944, U-764 fired two Gnats at a convoy of landing vessels and heard a detonation after 2 minutes 41 seconds. Ten minutes later rescue boats were seen. The British landing craft HMS LCT-1074 was lost in this attack.
