At 00.21 hours on 22 Nov 1940 the Cree (Master Robert Herbert Twentyman), a straggler from convoy SL-53, was torpedoed and sunk by U-123 about 365 miles west of Bloody Foreland. The master, 42 crew members and two gunners were lost.
