History | Algerine class minesweeper commissioned in 1945. She was nominated for reduction in Jan 1948 to Reserve status at Harwich. She was laid up at Harwich until 1951 when she was once again nominated for service in 4th Minesweeping Flotilla as Senior Officer's ship (MS4) on formation. This was part of a programme to increase Royal Navy capabilities following the outbreak of war in Korea. Scrapped in August 1961. |
