31 Dec 1940
HMAS Waterhen (Lt.Cdr. J.H. Swain, RN) went to the assitance of the trawler HMS Moy which had grounded. HMAS Waterhen was able to tow her off at 1230C/31.

HMAS Waterhen then departed the area to proceed to Alexandria for repairs. She was escorted by HMS Mohawk (Cdr. J.W.M. Eaton, RN). (1)
