HMS Tuna (A/Lt.Cdr. L.F.L. Hill, RNR) departed Blyth for Port H.H.Z. She was escorted by HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR) until 1551/7 when HMS Castlenau (Skr. W.K. Mickleburgh, RNR) took over the escort. (5)

Virulent (Lt. S.J. Fovargue, RN) departed Blyth for Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS Castlenau (T/Skr. G. Wood, RNR). She made part of the passage (until Dundee) with the Polish submarine ORP Sokol (Kpt.mar J. Kolziolkowski). (8)

HrMs O 15 (Lt. R.W. van Lynden, RNN) departed Rothesay for Dundee. She made the passage together with HrMs Zeehond (Lt.Cdr. Baron D.T. Mackay, RNN). The submarines were escorted by HMS Castlenau (T/Skr. G. Wood, RNR). (11)
