Dear Joe,

It is nice to know that the NIchimo kit enjoys at least a higher standard than academy. But my purposes are exclusively for display. Thankfully, Rainer Bruns has once again enlightened me--this time about the Nichimo kit. Though I had prefered a type IX vessel, that fetish is not so strong as to compel ne to undertake the additional detailing (i,e scratchbuilding) work necessary to accomplish my goal So Revell seems to be the only game in town. I have a feeling though, that I may visit this forum once again to solicit advice on how to scratch-build more dynamic, lively AA and deck guns, as well as how to obtain or purchase an accurate, scale ensign. Hoky decals simply do measure up to cloth, particularly when they are inaccurate.

All the Best,

Einsamer Wolf
