Dear Joe,
Actually, I have confirmed that toilet paper rolls works only for American submarines, as the American pressure hulls had a much different design, rendering them much more visible than the German ones. I have a whole sleu of different blades in a ship-wright set I bought. Sadly, I only have rough knowledge about which blade is proper for a given task. For now, it is trial and error, though usually the partiuclar purpose of a blade is generally obvious.
About the sea vents, I would direct you to my posting entitled as such. I can cut a good, clean hole in which I could install pre-fabircated grilling. But given the nature of plastic and the way ti takes a cut, I am very wary of the idea of cutting out each and every little whole. Finally, is this kit more akin to a VII C because of the tower's size. I have been informed that the tower is about 15% too big, but I am not sure if that is for a VII B per se, or all VII subs. From what I understand, the only visual difference between the VII B and C types is that the VIIC has a slightly taller tower, with a slightly longer dimension. THe hull itself is supposed to be less than .6 metres longer, a negligible difference at 1:125.
Warm Regards,
Einsamer WOld
