Einsamer -

While I agree 100% with the comments made by Wiljan below, when you are entering a contest, spotting errors lies with the judges. If they do not know the subject matter, the errors will not be noticed.

Something to bear in mind is that a very few judges will probably dealing with ALL ships and their knowledge can not be very deep in all areas. Contrast that with a judge who is looking at 1/48 Axis single engine prop-driven monoplanes.

One also has to ask which is the greater sin - giving an award to a well done U-boat with a red hull or spotting the error and giving the award instead to a poorly done but correctly painted Yamato?

I'm glad that I am not judging :-)
