Interesting observation Garth,

I have often wished I had a small submarine during those times when I was being beaten up by storm-tossed arctic waters.

Your experiences in the Daphne subs tell me that I'd have to go pretty deep in some cases. If Africa's Cape of Good Hope is that bad, I can only imagine what it must be like off the south tip of South America. Curiously enough, I hope to make it down that way someday.
