Kevin,
The boats that were observed at Portsmouth Naval Yard are as follows:
IXC ---- U-505
IXC/40 - U-530
U-805
U-858
U-889
U-1228
IXD2 --- U-873
XB ----- U-234
XX1 ---- U-2513
U-3008
The report states that all the other boats are the same in verying degrees to the IXC/40 boats. I am sorry that I can't give more information about if all the other boats had the same type of lathes on them. I am sure that the other boats carried lathes and I would think that it would be the same type of lathe, but I really don't know. I'm sorry.
