My German is pretty weak but as far as I could tell that page didn’t talk about rangefinding at all. Anyway I would like to read more, could you tell me which book it is from? The description seems to be pretty detailed.

Thanks, that settles the range question for now.

Has anyone a picture taken through the attackperiscope? I believe the bearing and which zoom level (1.5 or 6 times) could be read directly in the scope image. But I have never seen it on a picture, where the bearing a scale visible at the bottom or at the top or elsewhere? Also how where the stadia markings aranged? On the haircross or at the side and how many?
