Many thanks. All ist klar! I presume the settings are adjusted by the depth the pins enter their apertures in the torpedo body.
There is precious little I can find written about the nuts and bolts of torpedo technology and use. For example, the Mk. 13 torpedoes used on PT Boats were simply slid and / or rolled off their cradles - how do they know which way is up and why does this not topple the gyroes?
