My cousin,Peter Townend (Kenneth Peter Townend) was leading supply assistant and ship's writer aboard Albatross when she was torpedoed on 11 August 1944. Family folklore has it that he was reprimanded by the captain for returning to the bridge to collect his ship's records and the log book after the order had been gven to abandon ship. Does anyone have any records or photos from this era? I would be most interested to add this to my family history. Simon Greaves
