If you wish to look it up further go to www.hazegray.org look for navsource photo archives, click on it when it comes up click on the word destroyers and scroll down to DD117 for uss dorsey.
also my father served on this type of ship in the Canadian navy during W W 11
if you go to dd175 uss mackenzie ,it found it's way to the Canadian navy as part of a lend lease deal set up between Britian and still neutral America where it became H.M.C.S Annapolis
