According to a booklet at hand of the Ladies' Hospitality Organization at Bermuda during the War, "HMS Evaden, under the command of Lieut. Commander C. Taylor R.N.R. The Evadne was on patrol duty in Bermuda for about 18 Months in 1943 and '44...After leaving Bermuda, she went to the Mediterranean and there she got a submarine. It is her owner's hope to have her restored by next year to her former status of a pleasure yache and, as Sir Richard Fairey has a house in Bermuda, it is possible we may once again see her familiar outline in these waters"
The Booklet was published in 1946: I have not checked to see if Fairey was connected with the aircraft makers of ?Hampshire.
