Hi Quentin, Don't know if you are still searching for information but my father also served on the Holderness (43-46). He's still alive, though not in god health, but is still able to recall information about his time on board. He has a hand built model of the boat, which he won in a raffle on board, in pride of place in his front room. His name is Dennis Simpson. What's your fathers name. I can ask if he knew him.
