it was NOT U 63 (at that date west of Sardegna) but really U 33, which attacked the "Campanula"-convoy at 12.34h german time (torpedo missed S/S "Carisbrook", than at 12.40h received 2 depth-charges from "Campanula" but escaped and than set course for the eastern mediterranean, her original operations area !
