For attributions, Bendert essentially equals Spindler. And Spindler sometimes missed soome mine hits -- and he certainly could not give credit for ships that he did not know were sunk.

Yves and I are working on a database of patrols to answer questions just like these. The idea is to be able to figure out which boats were at sea and go from there. For Filicudi, the boats in the general area include U 65 and UC 38. I have the KTB for both, and did not find any extra sinking claims in a quick run through. (Will check again this weekend.)

What jumps out at me from Bendert though is that UC 38 laid mines off Trapani on March 26!
