The documents, encryption machines and dagger of the Captain were detected and are raised on a surface by Specnaz of the Baltic fleet even before rise of U-boat.
The Soviet intelligence had the decrypted messages not only U-boats, but also Army, diplomats and metheorologists. Enigma for this reason was so useful for intelligence as a dagger of the Captain for support of battle operations.
