There is no such thing like a "good war". Every country did their share of atrocities, and I believe the Germans did too.
But the victors are always right and the loosing side is always wrong and had to be punished. I still believe, that Doenitz fought a pretty fair submarine war and of course there is the exception of the rule (U-852). So is the "Wahoo" and ......
