Although I agree with Roy Prince, what Uri states is perfectly feasible, it could even have happened before the mast was aquired for the war effort. We must not forget that the Germans had a superb WW2 cable TV sytem whilst our own system used radio frequency transmission on the 4M waveband,which under certain conditions could easily have been received in Moscow. Even with modern short range UHF transmissions this part of the NE coast of England is occasionally swamped wih high quality Scandanavian TV signals.
