<HTML>Hi to Yuri and Barry, My position is not questioning the possibility of TV signals reaching as far as Russia as this happens from time to time but the fact that the BBC was using the 'Alexander Palace' site for other purposes and had discontinued all broadcasting. Since the war I have met a couple of BBC technical people who were employed pre war by the BBC and they never mentioned anything but the use of the site for counter measures against the German Air Force. I'm sure there is some confusion in the story somewhere. Best wishes, Roy Prince
ps Are there any old timers who remember listening to William Joyce aka "Lord Haw Haw" broadcasting in English from Germany during the war and ringing the so called 'Lutine Bell' before announcing the toll of Allied ships sunk by uboats?</HTML>
