<HTML>Have no information on Baron Elgin. However Baron Vernon , H. Hogarth & Sons, while in this convoy was torpedoed and sunk by U-604.
AFAIK the U-boats that attacked/shadowed this convoy were :- 203,572,134,509,659,604,409,659,510,103.
Have doubts about this act of humanity. Donitz would not have approved any
failure to sink a \"rescue\" ship.
