<HTML>Sorry. I haven\'t personally seen anything in writing, or interviews, about how Lemp may have died. I\'ve only heard various opinions of what may have happened. So someone else may be able to help here....

I see plausability in the shooting and suicide stories both. Lemp thought his boat was going to be rammed and sunk, and gave the bail-out order to save lives....before demolition orders or other means to sink the boat were given. If he later headed back to the boat to help sink it himself, I can see where he might have been shot.

On the other hand, I can see where he may have realized the Brits were about to board his boat, which was his doing by ordering an evacuation w/o setting demolition charges or whatever, and he dispaired and shot himself.

But these are only conjecture on my part.
