WWI - U 35 sank 224 ships for 539,741 tons (top achiever)

WWII - U 35 claimed 4 ships sunk for a total of 7,850 GRT, and 1 ship damaged for a total of 6,014 GRT.

Sunk 29 Nov, 1939 in North Sea, in position 60.53N, 02.47E, by depth charges from the British destroyers HMS Kingston, HMS Icarus and HMS Kashmir. 43 survivors (No casualties).

Ergo, the book is about WWI, and you checked the WWII U 35 statistics on the site.
