In Rohwer's book he states 9 Mar the German merchant ships (1)Drachenfels (6,342 tons), (2)Ehrenfels (7,752 tons) and (3)Braunfels (7,847 tons)lying in Mormugao (Goa), are scuttled by their crews. In Jordan's He lists them as :
(1) Interned 9/39 Mormugao, 8.03.43 scuttled (on fire) by crew, burnt out aground, 3/43 to Portugese Govt BU insitu.
(2) Interned 10/39, 9.03.43 scuttled (on fire) by crew to avoid seizure by Portugese Govt, 3/43 to Portugese, 12/48 hulk sold & salves, 12/50 BU
(3) Interned 9/39, 9.03.43 scuttled to prevent seizure by Potugese Govt, 1950 salved & BU
