My records indicate that C/333 carried out its attack at 2207Z hrs. on 16 May 1944. If the second u-boat was sighted 10 minutes later, that would have been at 2217Z or thereabout. U 668 was surfaced at the that time on a course of 333° in approx. pos. 6110N 0307E, but doesn't report any sighting of aircraft.

If C/333's second sighting was a genuine u-boat sighting, there were either two boats present, or the same boat was sighted twice. I'm convinced U 668 was not one of them.
