Visiting U-Boat Bunkers in France

I plan to visit France and Germany in September 2008 specifically to visit the U-Boat pens at Brest, Lorient, St. Nazaire, La Rochelle, and Bordeaux. I also plan to visit the Valentin bunker north of Bremen near Farge.

Can anyone help me with contact information of people who could help get me into these bunkers? I know some of the bunkers are used by the French Navy and I need to know who to contact to gain access.

Freddy from Beligium has already provided me with some information on Lorient and St. Nazaire.

I have only been to Kilian at Kiel in 1999, but that bunker has now been completely dismantled. I've never been to U-Boat bunkers in France before and any comments or helpful hints would be most appreciated.

Also, can anyone recommend inexpensive hotels in any of these communities and are there any other World War II things of interest in these communities?
