Hello Francesco,

Many thanks for the information. Did Longobardo or Murzi write any account of their experience? Can one find a file on this at the Ufficio Storico? As far as I know, following the patrol on U-99 Longobardo took over TORELLI from Aldo Cocchia while Murzi returned to his command of BAUSAN.

Do you know if German officers assisted their Italian counterparts when the Italian Navy took over the submarines S.1 to S.9 at Danzig? Did any German officer served on board these submarines as liaison?
