Good Morning Chaswes5,
And very many thanks for this latest bit of info - another small piece to fit into the jigsaw puzzle.
And Happy 4th July - by the way.
I am in fact "stuck" as far as defining an accurate timeline for U-505's War Bond Tours are concerned. There appears to be no composite description anywhere in the public domain.
On the other hand, I now know where the details are in the NARA records, but I need to find a kind person who lives in the Washington DC area who would be prepared to do a bit of (tedious) leg-work for me.
So, if someone who reads this fits the bill, then I should be very grateful if they would get in touch.
There would be no need to copy the NARA records in this case. It would simply be a matter of using the mark-one eyeball and jotting down the date/place details from start to finish.
Any takers - please?
Yours aye
Derek
