<HTML>British forces captured Massaua and Assab harbous in 1941 but could not use them because a lot of ship were scuttled in. Anyway they had Aden (hellish hot too) and French Gibuti (sorry but I now I mispell swaili). The Red Sea water is also very warm and inside a submarine they were Turkish bathing. The refrigeration system did not worked and nearly poisoned the crews.
